If you truly weren't prepared for the number of times you'd see the words "Kate Middleton Farm Shop Video" floating around in the span of just 48 hours, same! But the Princess of Wales appears to have made a very brief/blurry appearance at a local farm shop over the weekend, so here we are.
And by "here we are," we mean the internet is busy debating whether or not the woman in the video is Kate at all, and if the footage is even new thanks to Christmas lights being on display.
As far as those last two conspiracies go, The Telegraph went ahead and visited Windsor to scope out the sitch. And we're here to report their discoveries, which are that (1) the shops themselves are indeed there, and (2) the Christmas lights are still up just like they are in the Kate video.
Meanwhile, Good Morning Britain host Jonathan Swain also visited the location and snapped the lights IRL:
As for whether it's really Kate in the video, a local told The Telegraph, “We live here just across the road, they go in and out the back gate and Dave (the doorkeeper) will have let them in quickly. The Princess comes here quite a lot, it’s on her doorstep and Adelaide Cottage is a couple of hundred yards away. They were at the tennis on Sunday—my friend plays there and Kate was watching the children, they’re there all the time.”
Meanwhile, the person who took the original farm shop video said “nonsense” in response to claims of the footage being edited before adding that “Kate looked happy and relaxed.”
Additionally, they'd previously told TMZ, “I noticed a couple choosing loaves of bread and the woman turned her face and I felt like I had seen the face before. It was familiar. I knew it from somewhere. I went to my car and as they came out of the shop I just filmed them. I think they walked out through a gate out of the grounds. They just vanished and I didn’t see a car. I just wanted to share with my family footage and show just how normal they were.”
